Overview
Complete Building Services, a building operations/facilities maintenance company, is currently seeking Building Engineer for a facility in Largo, MD. CBS is a division of The Donohoe Companies, Inc. - Washington's oldest real estate company. The role of the Building Engineer is to ensure the proper and safe operation and maintenance of the HVAC systems and subsystems.
Responsibilities
Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair of the HVAC systems and associated equipment
Maintain plant and equipment in sound operating condition
Diagnose and repair HVAC system problems as assigned by Work Control. If beyond incumbent's scope of knowledge, identify, contact and schedule the appropriate resource required to resolve the problem
Provide direction and support to sub-contractors designated to perform repair of plant, equipment and/or hardware
Interface with building managers and other customer representatives in order to ensure client satisfaction
Accurately document work performed on trouble tickets or work orders
Operate and perform Preventive Maintenance on HVAC and associated equipment
Perform Refrigerant recovery and recycling
Operate Building Energy management System (EMS) and Building Controls
Place and/or remove systems, hardware and equipment as required
Purchase materials and supplies, and maintain inventory as required for timely work completion
Perform other related duties as assigned. Must be on-site during the assigned hours and available to respond to on-site emergencies
Qualifications
High School degree or equivalent
Completion of 4-year HVAC Apprentice or equivalent training Program
Completed coursework in HVAC areas
Universal CFC Certification (written proof required)
Minimum of four (4) years of related experience with HVAC systems
Valid DC 3rd Class Engineers License
Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
Able to lift up to sixty (60) pounds
Capable of ascending ladders up to a height of thirty (30) feet
