Job Description:
Data Center Mainframe Operations, Production Control, Data Entry and Systems Programmer Services
Provide highly skilled computer operators to process high volumes of jobs and printed output.
The operators shall be familiar with, and have the skills and abilities to operate, the County's computer hardware located in the County's Data Center.
The contractor shall staff computer operations in the Data Center 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Additionally, the contractor shall provide a minimum of two (2) computer operators per shift Monday through Friday.
All operations staff shall be required to work all shifts on a rotating schedule set by the Team Lead.
Experience: Three (3) years of data processing experience, including two years of experience in computer operation (i.e., operation of a central console and peripheral equipment)
Duties:
Mount tapes
Verify pre-planned check points and halts by matching messages with those specified in instructions accompanying input/output routines on operating programs.
Insure programs are processed correctly and solve anticipated processing problems following same instructions and guidelines.
Operate printers in the workflow process to insure accurate and professional output.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
