Effectively supervise the day to day shift SAFE operations of one or more warehouse areas of responsibility (AOR). Warehouse functions may include: selecting, loading, shipping, receiving, safety, sanitation, replenishment and product storage processes in a Grocery, Perishables or Freezer Warehouse environment.
Collaborate with Shift Manager in the development of employee performance development plans; Coach, mentor and guide Associates in the execution of PDP's; Utilize progressive coaching and counseling concepts according to established policies and procedures to provide continuous feedback on performance, increase employee retention and improve employee relations.
Manage to set KPI's: Safety, Retention, Productivity, Budget and Quality (Shrink).
Manage labor relations activities, address Union organization activities and establish and maintain positive relationships with Union Representatives.
What Our Ideal Candidate Brings
Preferable that you have earned a two or four year degree, HS Diploma or GED required. You need to have at least one to three years of progressively responsible experience in a related supervisory capacity (25
associates). Experience working in a high-volume production or industrial environment is crucial. Distribution/Warehouse environment hands on experience is highly desired; Union experience strongly preferred; MS Office; LMS/WMS Software skills; OSHA safety regulatory standards, and Certifications Preferred in Food Safety, Fork Lift Operator and HACCP.
