This is a professional position with the Prince George's County Health Department.
This position may require the occasional work on the weekend to support outreach events as needed.
The assignment is scheduled to be continuous from February 2024.
Duties:
Develop and implement a communication strategy that includes media outreach and social media content creation.
Plan social media campaigns or advertising efforts.
Keep track of analytics, so a company knows how well a campaign is doing.
Support and evaluate results of communication campaigns with the team Ensure the program has excellent and effective advertising.
Research and write press releases, and content for the company website, infographics, blogs, and newsletters.
Acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of the company's policies, principles, and strategies, and keep up-to-date with relevant developments.
Arrange and coordinate conferences and plan events.
Adhere to the company's style guide, ensuring that we produce a high-quality and error-free copy.
Work with key internal role-players to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the company's strategy and in support of various brand initiatives.
Build and maintain relationships with journalists and key external role-players.
Responsible for creating communications content - whether it's writing the newsletter or developing blog posts and social media updates.
Submit monthly program reports regarding communication activities.
Create and/or edit a continuous stream of creative, high-quality content that aligns with audience needs, objectives, and department messaging.
Work closely with Communications Office Manager, Public Information Officer, Webmaster, and Graphic Designer to create and modify multilayered media and marketing campaigns that are needed for the communications office on tight deadlines.
Quickly conceptualize, craft and edit social media posts, website copy and marketing materials.
Attend all mandatory training as scheduled.
Participates in project meetings as scheduled.

Bachelor Degree Must have minimum of 5 years in communications Must have experience creating and implementing communications plans Pay:
