The Youth Career Connections (YCC) funded by Blueprint for Maryland's Future legislation, allocates resources for three entities, Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS), Prince George's Community College (PGCC), and Employ Prince George's to collaborate to develop, implement and monitor a robust career counseling program.
The Manager, Youth Career Connections oversees the day-to-day functions and supports staff with assisting students in achieving career exploration goals, in alignment with the Youth Career funded by Blueprint for Maryland's Future Blueprint for Maryland's Future legislation.
They coordinate services and implement strategies, to provide in-school career counseling services to middle and high school students and assist them in selecting and getting on their career pathways.
The Manger, YCC works to ensure that processes are followed, and activities take place to ensure the achievement of designated program goals, and outcomes.
The Manager, Youth Career Connections reports to the Assistant Director, Youth Services, and works closely with other departments across the organization, PGCPS, PGCC, and external stakeholders.
The Manager, Youth Services oversees the Coordinators, Youth Services.
This position is Exempt.
Essential
Responsibilities:
Program Operations Provides support to the Director, Youth Services in the delivery of In-person and virtual career services for youth customers Coordinates Summer Work Experience activities Develop and maintain processes for the smooth and efficient delivery of direct services Assist in the development and implementation of innovative recruitment strategies for programs Provide support and guidance to the team to ensure the achievement of federal, state, and local performance goals Coordinate the delivery of youth services as a partner within the American Job Center Community Network Coordinate special projects as required by EPG leadership Implement strategies for the evaluation and continuous improvement of youth programs Create and implement plans for continuous improvement in the quality of customer service and address customer complaints when they arise Partner, Provider and Staff Engagement Engage and partner with Prince George's County Public Schools and Prince George's Community College Attend State, regional and local events to network and promote EPG's youth programs Engage and partner with government agencies and community programs within the region with the goal of expanding job seeker resources and expanding EPG industry bridge programs Collaborate with EPG's Education and Training Department to enhance programming for job seekers Coordinate with the Business Services Department and the Business Advisory Councils to enhance industry bridge programs Liaison with partners and businesses to provide career counseling services to students Supervise the Youth Services Coordinators Interview, select and train new staff, interns, and volunteers within the Youth Services department Conduct regular team meetings to improve the attainment of Youth Services goals Monitoring and Reporting Ensure that program performance measures are consistently met Ensure the adherence to policies and procedures by In School Youth Service's direct services staff Contribute to the development of procedures to enhance in-school youth programs Prepare statistical data for strategy sessions and required reports Prepare reports or draft reports as required by leadership and grantors Ensure that case management services are being provided in keeping with program and grant requirements.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
